Do I need experience to go fly fishing?

Absolutely Not!!

No previous fishing experience is required. Regardless, if you have no previous fishing experience or are an experienced fisherman, we love sharing our knowledge & passion with all guests.

What is included on my trip?

All basic fishing gear which includes: rods, reels, flies, & terminal tackle. Also, a cooler with bottled water & non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. You are welcome to bring along your favorite beverage and/or snack to add to the cooler.

What do I need to bring?

• Valid Colorado state fishing license (16 years or older)

• Hat

• Polarized Sunglasses

• Rain Jacket / Light Jacket or Sweater

• Warm Socks

• Sunscreen

What is not included?

• Colorado state fishing licenses,

• Lunch (1/2 & 3/4 day trips ONLY)

• Guide gratuity (generally 20-30%)

  **A valid Colorado state fishing license is required for all guests 16 years of age or older. You may order your Colorado state fishing license in advance online at cpwshop.com .

All fishing licenses require your valid state-issued federal ID and your social security number. Every angler who is 16 years or older is required to obtain a license to fish in Colorado. Non-US residents must provide their passport and I-9 Visa information.

Desert River Anglers does not sell Colorado state fishing licenses.

We cannot take you fishing without a valid Colorado fishing license.

Is a deposit required for reservation?

Yes, a $150 non-refundable deposit is required for all trips payable by Venmo or Zelle.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Desert River Anglers requires a $150 non-refundable deposit for all trips.

Unless otherwise specified at the time of your booking, Desert River Anglers practices a 14 day cancelation policy

If you or your group cancels within 14 days of your trip departure, a $150 fee will be charged per guide.

Should you need to cancel your trip, a refund will be given minus $150 deposit with a minimum 14 day notice of your scheduled trip departure.

If your trip is cancelled by your guide due to inclement weather or water conditions, the total trip cost plus deposit will be refunded ONLY, if your trip cannot be rescheduled in a timely manner.

Trips which are paid in full and have departed are 100% non-refundable.

Can kid’s go fly fishing?

Absolutely!

Kids 9 or older tend to do better during our trips. However, you know your kid(s) best and if you feel that they would enjoy the activity, we would be more than happy to take them on the water! Please take into account their attention span and patience when making this decision. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for all guided trips.
